 Your own shadow may be the only thing you can see as you follow God's will.

 Enter ye in at  the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to distrution, and many there be which go in thereat. Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it {Matthew 7:13,14}.

Anger a roaring fire from within.

Anger is a powerful tool that the devil uses

frequently on all his subjects

Anger can be like a wild fire that can grow so big, and moves so fast, that it can become very difficult to contain and then extinguish. Anger is a ticking time bomb waiting to go off without a moment’s notice. Any person who is not saved and walking in the will and word of the Lord is subject to be filled with an anger demon. So, a fire with inside a person will cause them to act like a fool. A sign of a fool is this: A fool will curse you out in front of everyone, but a saved person will stand and take the verbal abuse until it’s all over. Many times, anger is conjured up because someone said or did something that another person did not like. In the church, worldly people will get very angry if you tell them they are not saved. Too often their reactions will come as a result of someone who told them the truth about themselves, but they didn’t accept it. For others, they get offended if a warning has come to them from the Lord. Their anger is now boiling because they don’t want what God has to offer them. Our Father is a revealing God, and that makes some people unhappy. Then some folks say, "there is no God, it’s just luck or good karma." According to the Word of God, such words or beliefs declare one to be a fool. They cannot contain themselves when they become angry. As the word has said, "out of the heart the mouth speaks all the hidden things from within." Anger is a powerful tool that the devil loves to use, and anyone who is not saved and all who have willfully fallen from grace shall be affected by it.

A fool’s lips enter contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes. A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul. {Proverbs 18:6-7}

Anger cuts off all your logical devices leaving you no other options but to carry out your will on those who you perceive as your enemies. It comes out of nowhere like a hidden deluge of burning lava. In many cases, the tongue is the thing that can spark an angry fire. Once negative words come out of our mouths, they can cause a pugnacious spirit to come upon us, and hell’s gang will come along to join the party. Ok, let me put it this way. There are rules and regulations set forth for everyone on this earth, and we are to follow them. Otherwise, there is a price that will be required. For those who will not adhere to the laws of the land simply because you don't want to comply; well then, the devil has taken over your mind and now your body to do his bidding. In this realm you will believe that it's your right and duty to say whatever comes to your mind without any reservation.

Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold how great a matter a little fire kindeleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature: and it is set on fire of hell. For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. {James 3:5-8}

I am compelled to reiterate once more; anger is a wild fire hard to put out. Unless the Spirit of the Lord is living in you, you will always spit out words that incinerates others. Listen, I’m not talking about the times when you get angry and say something you should not have said. I’m talking about people who lie and back bite as a way of life, Meaning, they receive pleasure from hurting others. Listen, anger desires to get revenge and that’s all it wants. It will never seek out any kind of resolution because that is not in its nature. When a person feels deep inside of them that they have no worth and other people don’t really want to be around them, they become angry and that’s when the devil will begin to build them up in his ways. The devil is extremely resourceful in the realm of deception, and he knows very well how to be subtle, and that is just one of his tricks. Some people have killed others just because they were angry with someone they knew, or because they were in that location when the anger bomb exploded. What can be some of the causes of the anger fire building up in you?

1. Some man or women rejected you.

2. You can’t have your way.

3. You hate your parents because they won’t allow you to do whatever you want.

4. You hate God.

5. You lost a love one, and now you blame God for that loss.

6. You don’t have any money.

7. You were abused as a child.

8. You lost your house, car or jewelry.

9. You want to have sex, but no one wants you.

10. Someone almost hit your vehicle.

11. Your cell phone was stolen.

Listen, no matter what reason you may want to use, the Word of the Lord says that we should forgive others when they disrespect us. Also, for those of us who are saved, the Word tells us to forgive because when we were not saved, we did disrespect others and had no shame when we did it. Now I’m not telling you that you do not have the right to be angry, but I am saying that you don’t have the right to give a rebuttal on every occasion. Remember, the scripture you just read, as a reminder it is telling us that our words not only places our natural life in danger, but also it can damage our souls as well. Once more, a fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul. Listen, there will be many times when someone will make us mad, and we then will want to put them in their place. However, doing so launches you in their control. Now there is a time and a season for everything, but anger won’t allow you to see that point at the time of your encounter with a fool. The Bible says, if at all possible, live peaceably with all men. For me that means no matter what you say to me, I can deal with it. However, if you try to hurt or kill my nucleus family, well then you leave me no other course but to defend my wife and children.

Listen, it's ok to be angry when things catch you at the wrong time, but it is not ok to become combative when your life is not threatened. Listen, I was recently in a situation where another man pushed me three times. In his mind, he was going to beat the mess out of me because he thought I hit his car. I looked at him, and I said this, "If you put your hands on me again, I WILL HURT YOU.” Ok, you need to get this. Each time he assaulted me I just turned my back and tried to walk away three times, and when I did my back was turned, and that's when he made his move. Now the natural man inside of me was thinking I was one second away from beating this man unconscious because he assaulted me three times. As calmly as I could, I made my point because he stopped and got very quiet and walked away. The devil is not worth you going to jail and losing your job; especially, if you happen to be the wrong color, which I am. The point??? Walk away if your life is not on the line, because it's really not worth wasting your time because of anger. Once more, I must remind you. Listen, anger is like a ticking time bomb, you will never know when it will go off; but when it does, you can be sure of this one thing; someone will be hurting, and someone could be killed. The source of your pain must be located and properly dealt with. Otherwise, you too can become a ticking time bomb. Anger leaves you no way out, and it will lead you deeper into the land of hatred. The word.

But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. {1 Corinthians 10:27}

The Bible teaches that we must have the mind of Christ, and this is very vital information to have as a guide in this sinful world. Listen, there will be many times when some of the people on your job will cause you to want to fight, but that avenue will only get you sent to the unemployment line. The word of God puts it like this. Maybe you have forgotten, but you did do wrong to others when you were not saved. So, why should you be angry now that you are saved? In other words, you have power over your thoughts and your own body. This means that you can bring your own body under subjection in the time that you need to. Let’s go to the word. The children of God are not stupid nor are they weak. Turning the other cheek is not only a good thing for you, but it’s a benefit for the other person who is causing the pain. In other words, whom you forgive God will show them mercy. It's like this; you have the power to show your enemy mercy; however, they will never extend that favor to you. It's more blessed to give than to receive.

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down on your wrath: neither give place to the devil. {Ephesians 26,27}

This means because you are led of the Spirit of the Lord, you can now show mercy and keep your mouth closed during the times anger is broached towards you.
